There are certain things in life we all become passionate about. For my mom, it’s yoga — something she uses to keep her body and mind strong after surviving bladder cancer. She also does wonderful pottery and has an appreciation for handmade art. So trying to find the perfect gift that combines her strength, her passion for yoga, and her love of art was nearly impossible — that is, until I stumbled upon the Etsy shop Found Studio.
Kacey Stafford, the artist behind Found Studio, creates wonderfully imaginative mixed media images using materials found at thrift shops, antique stores, and flea markets. I love the idea of a piece of art incorporating one of my passions – recycling – by reusing materials. She then sells prints of these unique images through her Etsy shop, Found Studio. The themes of the images range from yoga to eating locally to bicycles to dogs, among many others. And something to keep in mind when you’re invited to your next wedding or baby shower – she can create custom pieces incorporating invitations or announcements to create keepsake gifts.
Found Studio not only ships quickly, but also provides excellent and quick customer service. Big box stores may have their place for some items, but I was thrilled to have found Found Studio to purchase a unique gift!

They are wonderful, Dawn! I ended up buying one for my mom and then another for my sister and found a nice wooden blue frame to compliment it perfectly!
I love creative gifts, and this is a good way to discover new artists!
