I am working with Clorox to help promote their pop-up shop in Chicago.
I will be compensated for my work, but all the opinions are mine #ad
It is always exciting to see a big company like Clorox give back to our local community here in Chicago! Just last week they hosted their second event right here in Chicago to benefit the local community. The event took place at the Taylor Elementary and provided essential school supplies: adorable backpacks, notebooks, and pencils from Clorox, GLAD, and Hidden Valley Ranch. At least 500 attendees came to the Taylor Elementary to get free and much-needed supplies.
This year, The Clorox Company is also partnering with DonorsChoose.org, a website that helps to fund projects for classrooms in need. As of today, the Clorox match offer of $100,000 has entirely spent out! Through this campaign, Clorox has supported 864 projects and ensured that more than 61,000 students would start off their year in clean and healthy classrooms.
Keep a Good Thing Going
Anyone can help schools, just by shopping for back to school necessities. Earn rewards when you buy Clorox®, Hidden Valley® and Glad® products. Then choose to donate your rewards to DonorsChoose.org or redeem for money back via Paypal. For every $5 spent on participating products, you will receive $1* that you can either redeem as a donation to DonorsChoose.org or money off on future purchases. Your reward, your choice. Just snap a picture of your receipt and follow the instructions on cloroxforschools.com to redeem your rewards.
SIX More Ways to Giving Back to Your School
Making a donation with your reward also provides parents with an easy way to talk to their kids about giving back. Take the opportunity to have a conversation with your child about the donation to help them start appreciating the importance of giving back at a young age. Giving back shouldn’t be as rare as the Back to School season – do a little extra every day and help your community grow.
It is not just about money!
Schools are always looking for volunteers. Ask your school how you can help! You might be a great mentor to a struggling student or a great graphic designer for the school newsletters. You life expertise could be a great find for your local school.
Donate to a campaign
You can give back to school by helping to find specific projects. It could mean new sports equipment or much-needed support for the computer lab.
Read School Flyers
Go through school flyers from time to time. There you will find the information on the upcoming projects and how you can help.
Give a Little More
Anytime you have to send some supply for a crafting project, consider giving a little bit more. It will be a great help to the classroom and will most likely go to good use.
Join the PTA
I know that the PTS in our school is behind some excellent projects. They also fund some the school events. And even if you don’t have the time to go to every single meeting, donate your time on one of the events or help the fundraising efforts.
Remember Your Teacher
I know my kids are not easy to deal with, but teachers have to deal with them plus a couple dozen more five days a week. Send her a note or a gift to show your appreciation and support.
