The holidays are a busy time for all of us. Between the shopping, the houseguests, the school parties and activities and all of the holiday parties that are happening (whether it be in your home or someone else’s), time can easily get away from us. As busy as I get, I have discovered that any single thing that I can do to save myself time, stress or money throughout this season is a blessing.
I have decided that shopping online really can save my sanity, especially during the holiday season. No standing in long lines, no driving from store to store.
I just hop online at Walmart.com and make my life easier.Let’s take my recent experience with the hectic holiday season. While preparing for some houseguests I was having at my house last week, I was in the deep clean mode. This meant I needed to break out my cleaning caddy and make sure I was all stocked up with supplies like toilet paper, disinfecting cleaning wipes, paper towels and all of the typical household supplies.
Let’s just say I was very thankful that I did this because I was out of just about everything (or I would have been by the time the party came around)! I needed toilet paper and paper towels in addition to several items specific for our holiday gathering. The problem though is that I was busy cleaning and getting ready! I had no time to stroll through the stores.
I’ve got to tell you, I love the internet. Like seriously love it. I was in need of this stuff for my holiday party, but busy preparing, so instead of heading out to shop, I just sat down and placed an order at Walmart.com. I ordered a huge 24 pack of my family’s favorite Cottonelle Clean Care double rolls (so we wouldn’t run out with a house full of people), I was also able to order paper towels, napkins, plastic cups, paper plates and lots of plastic silverware. So basically I was able to order all of the paper products that I needed for our holiday party and I didn’t even have to leave the house! I almost chose to pick it up in store but instead opted for the free 2-day shipping since my order was over $35 and I still had a couple of days to spare.
Another bonus for me is that I also noticed that because I was able to order online, it was much easier for me to stay on budget and just shop off of my list. Add ibotta discounts and save even more – here are my latest finds: $.75 Scott, $1.50 Kleenex, $1 Cottonelle, $1 Viva
For this budget-stretching season, I call this a win!
