Our Saturdays are usually super busy! It might be me trying to compensate for not doing much with the kids during the week or just an effort to stay on top of the chore list – we barely sit around on Saturday and Sunday.
However, what do you think happens next – swim class would make anyone hungry and here I am facing this hangry face.
I don’t want to sit next to him in the car because he is nothing but whining and complaining. The other two are not any better, and that means we need a “B as brunch plan” (as it is too late for dinner, yet a bit early for lunch).
We are only a short drive away from Potbelly on our way home, and as the kids load into the minivan, I start the Potbelly Perks app and look for something that would feel hungry tummies and put smiles on the grouchy faces. And may I just say how happy I am with the visual menu – everyone can figure out very quickly what sandwich works for them simply by looking instead of trying to picture it by reading the list of ingredients.
What makes me particularly happy is that I get to put a name on each sandwich, so we knew right away who is getting what and by the time we got to the Potbelly the order is ready to go: jump the line, grab the bag and go!
Plus, for every $2 spent, you can earn “smiles” towards Potbelly Perks including tasty treats and exclusive tastings – I got a free cookie just for downloading the app! And for those of you that just can’t get enough, you’ll receive a free sandwich if you purchase five sandwiches within the first five weeks!
And for those of you that just can’t get enough, you’ll get a free sandwich if you buy five sandwiches within the first five weeks – how difficult is that with a family of five!
Potbelly is known for Warm & Toasty Sandwiches using ingredients prepared fresh in a shop, that Potbelly hand slices their meats & cheeses and that Potbelly bakes cookies fresh each morning.
While I love eating out with a day full of plans, I would rather eat quickly at home right before putting a toddler down for a nap and getting the older ones to start on their projects.
And while we still a lot plan for the day right now it’s time for delicious farm salad, delicious broccoli cheddar soup, pizza sandwiches and some quality family time!
What excitements did you have last weekend?
