Did you have a doll house growing up? Did you think of a dream house for your little ones? Would you buy one or make one up? Here are few ideas you might want to consider. I have to admit, most of these are just super creative, insanely awesome or just plain crazy. Let’s talk crazy doll houses
Super size house, this looks like something out of a painting. Is it a painting?
Made for the queen, this doll house is a replica of the actual castle down to the look of the vestibule, stairs. This the exact copy of the Windsor palace. This Dolls House and its amazing miniatures were originally exhibited at the British Empire Exhibition of 1924/1925. It was then moved to Windsor Castle on permanent display.
This project is just over my understanding of creativity. Just look at the different parts of the house.
Oh yes, it is really a quilt doll house? If I was a great crafter and loved quilting, this would be something I would create. Probably, not, but it does remind me of the post office commercial in which a grandma quilted gifts for the entire family and even quilted a Christmas tree cover.
Summer cottage that would fit three kids – I think I would like one like this to be my ultimate mama cave.
Granted, this one is more of an art and it lives in the museum, but wouldn’t be a great one to have for the Halloween.
Would you want to live in this house. This is what I think about when I think of a “dream doll house”.
Maddie Chambers, a mom of two boys created this Hobbit Doll House that is absolutely realistic.
Looking at this one, all I can think about is city houses sitting next to each other on the streets of my hometown.
Super creative and absolutely adorable. If this is not awesomely insanely cute, I don’t know what is.
I bet you might of considered building a doll house out of the cardboard boxes, but in these details it is pretty cool.
Spooky? Oh yes! I would proceed with caution…
Another adorable model that screams dream home.
This little house is not really designed for kids or doll – it’s a mouse house. Cute! Cute! Cute!
This one had me at the white fence – the dream is here.
Love this one for how realistic it looks.
This one looks so doable and having a portable house means no space requirements. Practical and cute

I had a doll house as a child for many years. I collected the furniture and everything. It was pretty big, it sat on a table all by itself. I stopped doing anything with it when I was in high school, about 13 years old. my Mom has it now.

I want to move in to some of these doll houses, today. Doll houses sure aint what the used to be – my daughter had one when she was younger that was large but not quite as large as some of the ones shown here. Once she grew out of that one, she wasn’t interested in a new one. Maybe if it was built as an apartment out back she would have changed her mind!

I know of someone who rented a life-size wooden doll house (play prop) for her daughter’s 6th birthday once- That was a sight! It looked similar to the first dollhouse above. I think I like the one made for the Queen most, though!

My heavens – some of them belong in a museum! I only had a Barbie Dream House so I don’t think that counts.

Wow, some of those doll houses are amazing. I had a small plastic townhouse for Barbie. My daughter has a 3 story barbie house that is quite amazing compared with what I had.

Oh I love doll houses! That halloween-ish one is so cool! I think I had a barbie house or something when I was younger- but these are obviously way cooler than what I had haha

Would you be offended if I said that dollhouses freak me out? I think I’ve seen too many scary movies. However, the ones that are built around the bed — more like a playhouse — I just adore.
