How many subscription boxes do you get? Do you prefer crafts, snacks or home stuff? Our favorite subscription comes from the Little Passports and we have recently switched from the World Edition to the subscription that takes on the travel around the country.

Growing up I didn’t like geography much – the capitals, countries, mountains, and rivers – it was a fine print on the map and I only wish I knew what was behind different names in the geography book.Little Passports travel: Alabama, Connecticut

Each subscription package of the Little Passports consists of a number of stories and interesting facts – great way to get kids interested in a variety of activities (Where have you been all my life?)

This month’s subscription included two states Alabama and Connecticut. Like any other Little Passports package, it includes stickers – for the map and for the travel passport.

This activity book is a lot more challenging than the one that comes with the World adventures. The kids’ favorite dot-to-dot and a Maze is the real brain teasers – take the kids more than one try to solve.

There are also state history and fun questions for the kids to learn:

Did you know that the trash museum in Hartford, CT  is a part of a recycling plant to learn what some of the things can be recycled into?

The first hamburgers were prepared in 1900 in the New Heaven, CT?

Any kid can attend the Space Camp in Huntsville, AL?

My daughter was simply overwhelmed by the amount of information that came with each page of the state adventures, so we decided to take it slow – one-two pages a day. If you have an older kids, this might be a great activity for their spare time (or the school break?)

I have personally learned a lot about both Alabama and Connecticut and my daughter sure got a head start on learning about these historical states.

Can’t wait for the next month package!

I really want to get my niece a subscription to Little Passports she watches a lot of educational programming, but we could really work on her reading, so I think this is a good answer. I also wouldn’t mind learning about the states and world, either!

We’ve seen the world Little Passports. I didn’t know they have a US edition. We’d like to take a cross-country trip sometime; this would be a good way to prepare the kids.

I’ve heard so many great things about Little Passports. I love the idea of giving kids the chance to explore different places without leaving home.

This is an awesome idea! We did lots of travel stuff with the kids when they were little. And being FROM Connecticut, it was nice to learn about New Haven being the first place to serve the Hamburger! I did not know that!
