Gluten Free Appetizer MIMOZA

Last week we started talking about some gluten free solutions and I wanted to share another delicious delicious tuna recipe. This appetizer is something I grew up with and I am especially happy to share it with you.

Mimoza russian appetizer

INGREDIENTS:

  • A can of Ocean Naturals tuna
  • 1 Boiled potatoes
  • 1 cooked carrot
  • 2 cooked eggs
  • Yogurt
  • Salt, pepper, mustard

 DIRECTIONS:

 

  • Shred the ingredients through the large-hole grater
  • Bottom layer – tuna, mashed with fork
  • Sauteed onion (cut thinly)

  • Follow with a layer of potato
  • Yogurt Sauce (Yogurt, salt, and mustard to taste)
  • Carrots
  • Yogurt Sauce (Yogurt, salt, and mustard to taste)
  • Egg white – cut into tiny cubes
  • Egg yellow crumbled
  • Add freshly ground red pepper (optional)

Ingredients

    It’s almost too pretty to eat! I love tuna…I mean really LOVE TUNA, so this is going right into my recipe box!

    It’s takes a little more time to prepare appetizers into individual servings, but I feel like the pay off is totally worth it when you see how beautifully they turn out. Plus, everyone gets the right amount of each ingredient. Can’t wait to try these.
