Behind the Scenes of the Way 2 Good Life Kids Videos

These two are regular kids. They are not any different from the kids that go to the school with your kids and yes – they get in trouble for not cleaning their rooms. However, our weekends usually start with, “Mom, do we get to shoot a video today?

It is a hard to be a small channel in the huge digital ocean of mega channels. It is tough to get noticed, and it is next to impossible to make it big (but that is the goal). Sure, you know a hand full of Kids Channels with millions of subscribers, but next to them, there are thousands of channels just like ours swimming up to the surface.

Four truths about our channel:

1. Yes, I am a full-time working outside of home mom
2. No, we don’t keep all the toys we review
3. If we did this for a fame or money, we would of quit our show a long time ago
4. No, kids don’t get to skip school to do these videos

Serious Work Behind a Fun Channel

Just like in any real production, we have the staff that makes everything happen a serious business – from brainstorming to snacks.

ON THE SET

We have a set – the space where we shoot our videos. Well, we have two video arrangements – we are fancy like that!

We also have a great porch right outside of our house with a great natural lighting.

FILM AND EDITING CREW

Just like any serious production our company has some great professional help. Usually, it is mom and dad to the rescue kind of scenarios, but the kids are starting to learn the tricks of the trade as well. However, for now, mom is the one staying late going through the gigabytes of footage.

WE BRAINSTORM

We might not have a room full of screenwriters working on our episodes, but that doesn’t stop us from having arguments over the scripts and lines

WE HAVE FUN

What keeps this little channel going? We have the fire to fuel our ideas and we love to play! It might not mean much to you, but it is a recipe for a great day in the studio for us!

WE TAKE CREATIVE BREAKS

Filming four episodes back-to-back is not always easy, even if you love doing it and having a blast.
