Are you ready to make an Adorable Valentine’s Day Card for Kids? I have been having too much fun with my kids’ gel pens and finally managed to make something cute with it.
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, this card is unique, cute, and super simple to make. How simple is it? Super simple as I don’t have the patience for any activity that is longer than 10 minutes (I am blaming my ADHD for that).
Adorable Valentine’s Day Card for Kids Tutorial
Let’s get the fun started! This Valentine’s Day Card for Kids is a perfect way to make something unique that your kids will love giving to their friends. I love letting the kids have fun with crafts like this, and it’s great that they can give to their friends or their family!
Supplies Needed:
- Letter Size cardstock paper. Any cardstock that is 65 lb or heavier
- Gorilla Tape (or any other strong tape)
- Single Hole Puncher
- Googly Eyes
- Scissors
- Gel Pens
- Fun Colored Duct Tape
- Elmer Glue or Glue Stick if your Googly Eyes are not self-adhesive
Cut Cardstock sheet into quarters. We will make four cards out of each sheet.
Make a hole with a hole puncher on the left side of the card.
Place the Googly eye on the back side of the card over the whole. Outline it.
Use a pair of scissors to make small cuts from a hole to an outline.
Fold the cuts onto the outside of the card. The eye will look through this cut-out.
Glue the googly eye on the back of the card – it will be the eye of your monster.
To make a puffy heart I cut two hearts out of color duct tape and put a few pieces of Gorilla tape in between to make a puffy heart.
Use another piece of tape to attach the heart to the front of the card.
Use color pens to complete the look
This is such a fun Valentine’s Day card for kids! It’s a great project to do together and is tons of fun for everyone. We love making cards like this to give with a little treat like cookies, candy, or a cupcake on Valentine’s Day!
