The temperatures outside are getting chilly and that means we are about to spend a whole lot of time indoors. Finding fun activities the whole family can enjoy is a top priority.
KINGS BOWL is a bowling, dining, and entertainment center opens in Lincoln Park in Chicago. Kings’ new 24,000-square-foot complex features 16 ten-pin bowling lanes, a full-service upscale lounge, 80-foot bar and game room.
King’s Bowl recently hosted a blogger family night and since my minions love the thrill of the game, we took a trip to the Lincoln Park.
Max & Leo’s
The unique experience of the King’s in the Lincoln Park location starts the moment you step your food at the door. The way to the bowling center takes visitors through the Boston’s award-winning artisan pizza restaurant “Max & Leo’s” and brings their highly acclaimed coal-fired pizza and wings to this new location complete with a craft cocktail bar featuring great whiskey and craft beer selection.
As guests continue through Max & Leo’s and enter the main space at Kings, the vibe changes to a hip, retro-inspired atmosphere with upscale 60s-style décor.
Restaurant
In addition to bowling and games, Kings’ full-service restaurant serves an impressive array of American favorites and comfort food with a twist as well as dishes for the health conscious visitors. Stand-outs include the wildly popular hand-formed buffalo wontons and mouth-watering pan seared ginger soy glazed salmon. The juicy burgers are formed from a premium proprietary mix of brisket, Angus and chuck and seared to perfection on a flat-top grill. Kings’ menu also features signature award-winning chicken wings that Lyons claims will soon be counted among Chicago’s best. The kitchen will be open daily from 11 a.m. to close.
To pair with its delicious chef-designed menu, Kings offers a great list of creative cocktails. From the “Pop Rock ‘N’ Roll Martini” and the “The Pink Elephant” to communal drinks such as their signature “Big Baller,” these cocktails are classic, yet innovative. The Lincoln Park location will feature two full-service bars, including an 80-foot bar located in the middle of the venue.
Fun
If bowling weren’t enough, Kings Bowl Lincoln Park will feature a game room, complete with “low-tech” social games such as billiards, air hockey, foosball and shuffleboard which conjure nostalgia and great conversation alike. Sports fans will also discover a new destination for watching the big game with Kings’ 60+ HDTV’s.
They had a chance to make their own pizza and even tried fancy kids drinks.
The Lincoln Park location will be Kings’ eighth venue nationwide is open for families during the day.
