Are you looking for some super awesome DIY Halloween costumes? You are in luck – we don’t just make them awesome, we also make them super quick. All the costumes we are featuring this year can be assembled in under ten minutes, and many will cost you next to nothing (you most likely have everything you need in your home).
This costume is perfect if you want to try something different. It’s very quick to do and just like other our disposable costumes, this one is 100% recyclable.
Today’s outfit comes to you from the underwater kingdom. We could have made a mermaid costume, but there will most likely be a couple of mermaids at your Halloween party. And that is why we decided to go in a fish costume. And not a tiny little guppy – we are going big … obnoxiously big.
To make two fish costumes we used two 24×30 sheets of colored paper from the dollar store.
Outline a fish shape – the bigger, the better
We used the scraps of the opposite color to make the accents – eye, mouth, and a fin.
Cut a hole, big enough to put an arm through it and put on the shoulder
If you need two fish for you pond, make the paper costumes in the opposite colors and let the fish play, one another just like the little fish we see in the fish tank.
If you love trick or treating as a family – go as a fish family: mom, dad, uncle, aunt, and a bunch of little kids fish – you will make a cute underwater crowd and who knows – maybe you can also meet a few other marine creatures on the way.
