It’s game day! You have your lucky team shirt on and wearing your favorite team hat. Plans are all made as to where you are going to watch the big game, and you are looking forward to spending some few hours cheering your team on with your friends and family. Maybe you’ve ordered some pizza and have some beer for your party that is perfectly fine if you want an ordinary game day. But if you are looking to step up your game day traditions here are some awesome suggestions to do just that:
Theme, theme, theme!!!
Want to really wow your guests on game day? Come up with a topic that ties your whole party together. It brings the party together and makes things pretty fun and exciting. An awesome idea that all will love is a bacon theme. All food is served wrapped in bacon, with bacon in it or just even a big plate of plain bacon for your guests to eat. There is nothing yummier than some good beer and some thick slices of bacon. You can also have a deep fry tailgate. You can serve a deep fried turkey for the main course. Also, you can have appetizers that can be a great friend, such as stuffed peppers, cheese wraps and such. Have everyone to bring a dessert they would like to try to deep fry such as Oreos and Twinkies. The list is endless!
Lawn Games
While halftime is going on or even just to socialize and hang out before the game, have some fun lawn games available to play. Games are great for those who want to get into the competitive spirit and lawn games just happen to be fun games you can play with a beer in your hand. Games can include: bag toss, bocce ball or horseshoes, which are all very classic games. If you are looking for some different and new fun games, try Rollors, Spikeball or Filmsee. Want to see things get a bit more competitive? Add a funny trophy a competitor can win.
Signature Cocktail
While beer is just fine and no one would complain, having some special drink treats will always take your game day to the next level. Whether that it has a refreshing new cocktail to have everyone try out or having fun jello shots or pudding shots, this is what always gets the party going. Drinks are fun and give people the opportunity to try some different drinking treats.
Don’t Forget the Essentials
While getting ready for the big game, it’s easy to forget about the little, but crucial things. I am talking about the things that we take for granted, yet without them, any party would be a major fail – ever tried eating chicken wings with a paper towel around?
