Who said that giving has to be difficult? We all heard that giving doesn’t come to kids naturally and it takes a lot of work to make the magic of sharing happen. However, there is a way to make it fun for both kids and adults.
Last month Creatively Caring hosted One for You and One for Me event. As a part of the event kids made a beautiful flower that was donated to the elderly. At the same event kids crafted rattles they got to take home. The concept is simple, kids are learning about an art of giving firsthand while playing and making a creative gift for themselves. As a parent I appreciate the fact that I don’t have to go far out of my way to do something charitable AND teach my kids how to to give back to the community. This event took place at Nibbles Play Cafe – usual entrance fee was waved for the event participants (what are wonderful way to support the cause!) May I just say BRAVO to Creatively Caring and Nibbles Play Cafe.
Creatively Caring works with local businesses and non-profit organizations to enrich our community through fun, family service projects. Families with children of all ages are encouraged to participate in our projects which help people, animals and the environment.

Still Blonde after all these YEARS says
You can never start to early teaching kids charity and giving. It’s very easy to be selfish especially for young children.

Love this idea! Instilling in kids early the importance of giving of themselves is crucial to happiness later in life. There are too many unhappy selfish people today. – Katy
