STOP HERE if you are not into scary stuff because this is definitely is not your cup of tea
October is here, and that means spending every free moment getting into the spirit of Halloween. From decorating the house and watching scary movies, to getting scared at haunted houses and attractions. Put this on your list of frightening activities this season.
Located in the basement level of the parking garage at MB Financial Park (5501 Park Place, Rosemont), Disturbia’s 20,000 square feet of terror as you try to get through a maze of 35 rooms. Your decision of what door to open will directly influence the frights you’ll be exposed to. This year’s theme is an unnerving insane asylum managed by murderous clowns and caves of darkness that’ll make you wonder if you’ll ever get out alive.
This is a well done haunted house. I screamed so much that my throat was sore for a day. When I felt like I was being watched or followed, I was. The creepiest was the clown that would honk his horn ever so often to remind me he was still there, right behind me. I kept reminding myself that they won’t touch me if I don’t touch them, which kept a sliver of sanity with me.
Go get your scream on. Tickets are $25 per person, with VIP tickets available at $45 for faster access. You can purchase tickets in advance at www.distrubiascreams.com as well as on-site. Parental discretion is advised for your 13+ lovers of fright. The haunt is open until November 1st at 7pm Wednesday though Sunday until 11pm, with an extra hour of fright on Friday and Saturday nights.
