Dressing Up with Monroe and Main

It is so cold outside, I honestly don’t want to go anywhere and only wish I could stay home all week long. Freezing sub-zero temperatures  for days is not something people in Chicago are used to. However, today I am celebrating spring simply because I know it is coming. And shopping for a fun, colorful dress is something that warms my heart.

Don’t you feel just a little bit warmer?

Knot Your Mother’s Dress my Monroe and Main is one the prettiest and flattering dresses I have seen in a very long time.

Usually when I shop for dresses nothing fits right, because I am relatively short, have hips and waistline. Shopping online is usually a disaster, but when I got an invitation from Monroe and Maine to try one of their dresses, I figured what do I have to lose?

And may I just say I feel so fabulous in this dress. Since it is still very cold outside, I had taken pictures indoors, but I was amazed how the colors of the dress popped even in the indoor limited light. The combination of the empire waist and full skirt does wonders flatenning stomach and flattering hips.

I had to share the spotlight with my  daughter and her princess dress. My son said that we both looked like princesses and are very pretty. That means a lot coming from a 4-year-old boy.

Great dress has to be versatile and this one totally is – with the full skirt, wide enough to let me do just about anything and look pretty doing it.

Like other Monroe and Main dresses, this one is very feminine and I couldn’t help but fall in love with the simplicity and comfort. It is probably easy to see how much fun we had taking pictures for this fabulous campaign.
