Fall Activities for Kids To Do As A Family Indoors

Create your own Halloween Costumes. Does your family dress up for Halloween? Why not work together and create your own costumes. Not only is this just fun, but you can also save the family a lot of money over buying new. Plus, it will be easy to make matching costumes for everyone!
Paint or Decorate Pumpkins. Head to your local grocery store or pumpkin patch and grab a pumpkin for each family member to have everyone decorate it without carving. (Today’s Parent has some great ideas) The fact that they aren’t carved will help them to stay good longer. Plus it’s a fun way to decorate your outdoor space for the season.

Leaf collecting. With the color changing leaves that decorate our streets and yards, it is hard to argue that Fall is simply gorgeous! Why not head outside with the family and do a little bit of leaf collecting? Look for the most unique shaped and colored leaves to keep as your prize. But make sure you jump into a big pile of those beautiful leaves first though. That is a Fall right of passage.
Visit an Apple Orchard. You cannot let fall activities for kids pass without a visit to an Apple Orchard! It’s fun, festive and you can stock up on apples while you are there!
