Gold Fish school let my kids swim for free.
I figured you wanted to know that
(and FDC wanted to know that too)
Midwest weather has officially turned from happy summery to a slightly colder version that makes people think of comfort and a fireplace – not jumping into cold pool water.
A few weeks ago we came to the Goldfish Swim School – a brand new facility that opened up in our area. And that is where I said: What? The water here is warm, why is that? Can I swim here too?
Goldfish Swim School is a state of the art aquatic facility dedicated entirely to indoor swim classes and programs for children four months and up.
Here are my five reasons, why we wanted to give a private swim school a try:
- My son took a year of private classes at the local Park District with a very minimal progress.
- The water at the Gold Fish Swim School is always 90%
- The lanes are short and less intimidating
- I always wanted to take a baby to a swim class, because videos of swimming babies are awesome.
- I want to take three kids to a class at the same time.
Here is what my daughter had to say:
This was our first day here, and we were given lots of stuff like swimming on your back and kicking, my best part was kicking. I like my swim class because of the lanes and the water. The lanes are shorter, and the water is really warm and makes me feel like I’m in a spa. I want to swim here every day.
Goggles were awesome. I loved when I was underwater looking at daddy’s feet, and you know what – I didn’t even have to hold my nose!
While everything at the Gold Fish Swim School looks super cute (with tropical themed changing rooms and tiki hair drying stations), the swim school should be about swimming. What kind of results can be achieved in one month? Come back here to find out, because according to my kids “We are totally coming back.”
