What do you think of a woman who goes in public non-workout places wearing cute workout outfits? Do you call her show off? Do you tweet “OMG some people are just clueless” or do you secretly wish you had this kind of outfit?
I am going on record that I am a bit judgy about a workout outfit in combination with 5-inch heels, but besides that – I love fitness fashion, and I live in my workout gear. Not like I work out all day long – I am just a sucker for good sporty, comfy clothes.
Here are a few reasons why I live in my workout clothes.
I am not in the Office
I wear business casual to work five days a week 10 hours a day. Any time outside of that is my comfy time and what can be more comfortable than a cute workout outfit. My feet love sneakers and are not fans of conservative office shoes. Hair style, dress pants, jackets – 8 to 5 is long enough.
Sweatpants vs. Bathrobe
Workout clothes look so much better than a robe. I might enjoy a cozy robe after taking a half an hour bath (like that ever happens!), but try chasing kids in it (or do anything at all for that matter), and you will be happy to trade it for a pair of sweatpants and a tank top.
Bring on the Sweat
What if I decide to work out? This might look like an obvious one since we are talking about workout clothes, but on my list of excuses why I have no time to workout, there is one that sounds like this: I have 20 minutes, but by the time I go upstairs and change it will only be 15. And what if I get sidetracked by the mess in the kids’ room and decide to clean it? I’d rather be ready and if I don’t work out? At least I will look good doing it.
Hot Babe
It makes me look fit. Don’t you love how workout clothes make you look? There are no cellulite or imperfect shapes to worry about – I love it! I am still aware of my extra pounds, but the performance fabric is designed to hold things in, and that is exactly what it does. I can even wear skorts if I think it through. And don’t get me started on a sports bra – I wish I could wear it all day long.
Lookin Good
If I wear good workout clothes that look awesome on me, I won’t be afraid to leave the house with a ponytail and no makeup. What can I say: cute workout outfit makes a ponytail look good.
And if I want to look fabulous, I will just add a pair of sunglasses into the mix.

Since I do not have kids, and work out of the house, workout clothes are something I associate with being sweaty and dirty. I work hard in them, but wouldn’t hang out in them all day…..not to say you don’t look fabulous doing it!

They are comfy!! I mostly live in my jammies, aka my husband’s sweat pants I stole (yet again) and a comfy t-shirt. Workout clothes are just oh so comfortable, and they make me feel active (even when I am just working on the computer).

Seriously, if I had workout clothes as cute as yours, I would totally live in them! I love comfortable clothing, as I’m often just as home working or chasing a toddler around. Why in the world would I do that in something fancy? lol.

I work at home and if I don’t put on my workout clothes I don’t seem to find the time to actually do the workout. I love my yoga pants and being able to hit the floor for some yoga time –anytime is great.
