How often do eat tuna? If you are anything like me, it is not as often as you should. A few years ago the media got flooded with warnings about the mercury levels in tuna and so many of us backed out from eating it all together just because we had no time to do the research.

But Guess What?

Tuna is naturally delicious, full of a great nutrients and all you have to do is learn a little something about it. Seafood is an important part of a healthy diet and contains high-quality protein and Omega 3 fatty acids. A well-balanced diet that includes seafood can contribute to heart health and benefit children’s growth and development. It is a great healthy and convenient product that is very affordable and can be added to a healthy lifestyle easy with salads, sandwiches, pasta and so much more in just minutes. Ocean Naturals wild premium tuna is simply premium tuna with a dash of salt, packed in either olive oil or water – no fillers, additives or preservatives .

Ocean Naturals is a new name to the tuna market, but they stand out with their fresh approach to the process. The company starts by using only wild, responsibly caught Skipjack Tuna. They also strictly define what goes into each of their products by species so that light meat tuna isn’t a combination of mystery fish but rather – 100% Skipjack. In addition, Ocean Naturals requires that their Skipjack Tuna is 100% free–school caught without the use of FADs (Fish Aggregating Device) to help reduce the catch of non-targeted sea life.

OceanNaturals.com is a site full of information. There is a lot more information there than you have ever cared to know about canned fish, but if you spend a few minutes browsing through their pages, you will probably be more knowledgeable about tuna than most of the people you know.

I especially love the tool that tells me where my tuna came from – where it was caught and who was the ship captain. You have to agree it is pretty cool – check it out Where did my tuna come from?

How can you make healthy even healthier? Let me share a couple of recipes I have tried over the weekend with Ocean Naturals tuna. With your health in mind each of these healthy tuna recipes is gluten-free and absolutely delicious.

I particularly love myself some tuna! People think I’m weird but I eat it straight out of the can 🙂 I’m sure the tuna that I get isn’t the greatest, though, so I’d definitely love an opportunity to try this natural tuna!

The fact that you can also see where it’s coming from is such a neat added bonus, too 🙂

Thank you so much for sharing this product, company, and that delicious looking recipe! Definitely pinning that one ^.^

I’m not a ‘quiche’ person, but that looks heavenly. I try to eat tuna about twice a week, but I don’t get that fancy with it. You’ve certainly inspired me to pick up some Ocean Naturals.

I love tuna but have been worried about the mercury and where it comes from. I feel like their willingness to tell us exactly where the fish is from is so cool. Makes me really trust their intentions. This is great information and I’ll be looking for this brand. Thank you!
