My toddler is keeping me pretty busy these days. He is adventurous, stubborn, and an incredible adorable. With his unstoppable energy, he needs a new toy every 30 minutes. It almost looks like he wants to challenge him with the next new thing and as soon as soon the toy starts getting annoying – NEXT!
With my son’s birthday and holidays coming up I looked for something more complex that would occupy him coming back again and again.
A 3D Storybook Castle
Four quadrants of beautifully crafted wooden pieces suspended in walls and guides, painted with lively characters and creatures found in and around an ancient castle. You will see the fire-breathing dragons, a king, and queen, a prince on a horse – all in one package! Happy little hands can move these pieces all over on their guided tracks while whizzing small beads back and forth on colorful wire runs.
It is designed for ages 12 months+ and measures 18L x 20.8H x 18W in. All wood toys have non-toxic water based finishes.
For over 30 years, Manhattan Toy has been making award-winning, high quality, visually appealing toys for babies, toddlers, and kids. In keeping with this legacy, the Storybook Castle follows in the footsteps of other Manhattan award-winning wooden toys.
The Quality and Details
The Storybook Castle wooden activity center is made of quality components produced from select plywood, teawood, stainless steel, rubber, and non-toxic finishes. Bright colors and the variety of elements is designed to keep the energetic toddler occupied for a while.
At first glance this toy might seem too advanced for someone who just learned how to walk, however, we found out quick that my one-year-old started feeling comfortable with it in a matter of seconds – he even tried sitting on it! The different sides of the toy make this entertainment center an activity he keeps coming back to.
The height of the toy is designed to where a child can interact with it regardless of how tall they are.
The child loves the colors, and the wooden tracked wooden beads. The multiple angles of the toy are well designed so that multiple kids can play with it at the same time – smart design!
Assembly is easy and only requires the instructions and a Philips screwdriver. The holes are pre-drilled, and the wood was very high quality. Four quadrants of castle-themed activities feature gliders, gears, bead runs, snapping crocodile and more to support the motor development and can be put together within ten minutes.
