Every time we pack for a family travel I feel like I am getting ready for a significant move. Between my stuff, my husband’s, and three kids – forgetting something is a norm. Sometimes I have to stop and think of a few super important things not to forget, because other things we can always buy. My usual list includes a driver license, credit cards, and medication.
However, when it comes to a summer road trip with a toddler, packing the right things sometimes is a difference between a comfortable drive and a never ending miserable trip. Let’s go over the things we need to have.
Diapers and Wipes
Even if you have to stop at the gas station to change a diaper, it is always important to have your supply of these. I know they are bulky, but I never want to hope that the next gas station has the right diapers again. That’s a fun 10-mile stretch I would like to forget.
Snack Trap
This is not only an adorable looking container, but it’s also a lifesaver when it comes to keeping a toddler busy with food! This one comes with a screw-on top, which works best for the kids, who make an extra effort of disassembling everything and anything. It will also ensure that all the goldfish crackers and cheerios will stay in the container and not all over the car.
A Toddler Drink
While milk is at home, when it comes to summer travel it is nothing but trouble (Have you ever spilled milk in the car in summer? If you nod, you are in the club)
A toddler drink like Stage 3 Gerber® Good Start® Grow Toddler Drink is an amazing way to ensure your toddler is getting all the nutrition they need and deserve with probiotics to support digestive health, while it is great and easy to use on the go for you. I don’t know about you, but I support my sanity by offering a cranky toddler some sources of entertainment. He is happy, I am glad – the road trip must go on!
Leigh Anne Borders says
I like that they are focusing on gut health by having probiotics in their formulas now.
We are just now hitting this stage and it has been interesting. He does like all the foods we give. I struggled at first because he would not eat when I fed him. I kind of felt like a failure but I kept with it and he responded.
Onyinye says
I love that it is non GMO and has probiotic
Julie Wood says
I learned that Stage 3 GERBER® GOOD START® Grow Nutritious Toddler drink powder has probiotics to help support digestive health, and is Non GMO. Sounds like a good nutritional drink!

I like that it is suitable for toddlers all the way up to 24 months. It really fills in that gap. My little man eats most of what we eat, but he still barely eats meat and he doesn’t like regulat milk, so I’m sure he could use extra protein.
Kaycee says
My baby didn’t make it past 11 months so I have no stories.

I’m 67 and don’t remember and don’t have kids.

I had a smooth time going from formula to food. But my son was a picky eater and I had to find foods that he liked!
Jerry Marquardt says
I have always had a good experience with all Gerber products. It brings back the memory of toddler-hood every time I see and smell it.
Kimberly says
My oldest child was so easy to transition. It was fun to give her new foods. I always pulled her high chair next to me while I prepped dinner for my husband and I and just cubed up whatever I was cooking for her to try. She has never been a picky eater!
Natalie says
we gradually introduced plates and utensils and used plenty of napkins!
June Lisle says
My son was not a picky eater when he transitioned into a toddler but is being picky now. Maybe it i just a phase.
Stephanie Phelps says
She is transitioning into toddler hood now and she is so picky. What she does not like she throws in the floor every time! I gave her a bowl for the first time and before I could turn around she dumped it on the dogs head!
