What do you think when you hear TruKid? I am sure you’ve heard of it, but what is it? First thought that comes to my head – “sunscreen highly rated by EWG (Environmental Working Group)”
Good sunscreens cost good money, but when you are buying a tube – you gamble. Is it easy to use? Will it last? Will it smell funny?I can’t afford to get a dozen different sunscreens to try, so even if I don’t like it, I still continue using it. TruKid brand was one of my top picks when I was shopping for kids’ sunscreen, but for one reason or the other I haven’t tried it upon til now. Thank You packaging designers of TruKid for putting information I want to know in big letters, so let me go over the things I like about TruKid Sunny Days.
Let me show you what I am looking for when I buy a sunblock (especially for the kids)
Yep, I think that pretty much summarizes it. The biggest problem I normally have with good natural sunscreens – they are not easy to apply. The “not-so-good” sunscreens apply just like butter, fast and easy. Well, TruKids is a great natural sunscreen that is smooth and easy to apply. It is perfect for average kids like mine – all day on a backyard playing with water. I think TruKid just pushed other sunblocks off my shopping list. I took TruKids Sunny Days sunblock to a family giveaway and gave it a really good trial run – my whole family ended up using it. Needless to say, all 5 members of my family from 2 year old to 60 year old where well protected and no one burned.
I also gave a test drive to Helping Hand Wash. It’s a safe alternative to average soap and it’s non-toxic. Both of my kids, 2 year old and 4 year old make hand-washing a long and fun experience. And yes, it includes battle ship toothbrushes in the soapy water battling foaming monsters. However, you have to make sure that you get the one with the pump. My product just has a cap and kids can’t quite use it on their own also because the bottle is not easy to squeeze.
