Do you love photobooks? I stop using traditional albums almost 10 years ago. I am very creative, but not very crafty. Here is what it means: I love good looking stuff, but I am very sloppy when it comes to doing it with my hands. Spilled glue, cuts in the wrong places, and dirty clothes – yep, that’s my vision of scrapbooking. It works so much better when Ctrl+Z involved (LOL).
Over the years I used at least 8 different sites and have been jumping from one to another looking for new designs and deals. Here are my observations – most sites do require you to work online. If the connection is an issue – you out of luck. Doesn’t seem like much of a problem, but whenever I work on the photobook, I would like an option of working on it when I can. But if I only have 5 minutes, it would take that much just to load the project. I did come across one site that allowed me to keep the project on my computer and upload when ready, BUT the design options there were very limited. I mean, VERY LIMITED.
When I was offered to review digital scrapbook by My Memories, I didn’t really now what I was getting into. My Memories Suite is a software that you have to install on your computer. I went through the software and nearly was left speechless by options and variations. It’s like Pinterest … addictive.
Everything and anything can be changes, modified, and replaced without loosing control over the style.
Photobook – Once created, it can be uploaded onto the site and printed. But you can also add music, bring your book to life with interactive elements and share it with others. You can also add videos for a really cool interactive show.
And what about themes and designs? The themes are awesome, but in case you run out of ideas, you can download a new one from the website – SO AWESOME!!
