How do you create memories? Do you take thousands of pictures? Do you bring little souvenirs from the places you travel to? Do you store your child’s favorite outfits and toys? What is it that makes you believe that you captured the real moments for years to come. My photo albums are full of pictures. But is it really the picture that worth a thousand words? What tells the real stories? I’d say it this day and age, it is all about the video.
A couple of my grouchy friends insist that we got carried away, depending on the technology and we can’t seem to survive a day without our fancy phones, hundreds of TV channels and endless reach of the Internet. But let’s look at it from a different angle – this day and age, we can connect to the people all over the world in just a matter of minutes, isn’t that crazy?
For years I assembled photo albums and sent them to the relatives abroad, because this was the only way I could share the little moments of my family happenings with grandparents and people close to us. However, with the kids getting older, we have long stories to tell: my daughter is learning to ride a bicycle and it takes her a lot of bumps and bruises to get where she needs to get… My son is pretending to be Marty from The Back to the Future, proudly wearing an orange vest and re-creating the train car pushing scene from the third movie. The albums are getting heavier, the phone conversations are getting longer, and the credit card bills were getting higher.
One day I discovered a phone plan that can handle our stories and help us deliver them to the people we love. You see, these days modern technology can connect us to people around the globe and that is something a little bit short of a miracle (at least from my standpoint). Did you hear that Walmart Family Mobile service is $29.88/month (for the first line) Unlimited Talk, Text & Data service plan which includes up to 1G of 4G LTE data? We went to check it out, ask questions, and find a catch. What are the results? There is no contract, no credit check- you just pay the bill that comes at the end of the month. You can even bring your own phone to this party! However, we found this Samsung Galaxy Avant on a rollback at the Walmart for only $149, so this might be a great time to switch over to Walmart Family Mobile?

Soon enough my dear little girl will join the crowd of texters (and you know – she will). One thing I don’t have to worry about is a big bill. $29.88 covers unlimited texts.
Today she asks for my phone to call her friends, but soon enough I will have to give my kiddo a phone of her own. No matter how much she talks about Skylander adventures with her buddies, I won’t have to pay a bundle – just a flat fee, with no surprises.
Love it or hate, kids love wasting data. Anytime we are out on the road, the kids are begging for a smartphone phone to play with. What can possibly be so important? Of course, it’s another episode of the kids’ favorite YouTube shows. Don’t you mom know how important that is? (eye roll)
First graders of my daughter’s school put together a great show for the whole school to see. But can we share it with the grandpa who leaves thousands of miles away? Oh, yes, we can with the help of Samsung Avant 5 megapixel camera with Beauty Face auto-focus mode, panorama mode, and 16GB built-in memory plus microSD slot expandable up to 64GB.
Learning to ride a bike is an exciting step for the whole family. This is something we all can be proud of, but now this exciting video is click click… sent to everyone we love.
