Halloween is near. Where did this year go? If I am totally honest here: Halloween has snuck up on me. This means we haven’t even thought about costumes yet. Normally by this time of year, we have picked our costume and changed our minds approximately 600 times. Quick homemade Halloween costumes will be our “go-to” this year, especially since I found and a great expose of
Water Themed Homemade Halloween Costumes
Here are some of our favorite ideas for homemade Halloween costumes.
This is one that we here at Way 2 Good Life put together. It is a quick and easy (and pretty adorable) fish that is perfect for school’s Halloween celebration or trick or treating on Halloween. This one would be even cuter if you had several kids to form a school of fish.
This submarine by Alpha mom is guaranteed to be a unique choice for a costume. A submarine is perfect for your underwater enthusiast. Since the Submarine is small and light, it makes an easy to use option for both handing out candy and trick or treating.
Alpha mom also shows us how to make this very creative starfish. I love that the color options are almost endless with this one. You can add as little or as many suction cups on the arms of the starfish as you want. Even if you see other starfishes homemade Halloween costumes, it is guaranteed that no two are going to be the same making this yet another very unique option for a costume this Halloween.
B-inspired Mama shares an awesome shark mask with us. This one may take just a bit longer to put together but, it can be used for more than just Halloween. This is a fun craft for smaller kids all the way up to elementary aged kids and beyond. I kinda think it would be fun to have a pair of my own!
Delineate your dwelling shared their awesome scuba diver costume with us. This one is so much fun. I love that from the back it would be easy to tell the kids apart as each one is a different color. These homemade Halloween costumes are so simple to personalize too!
Kid craft room shared this frog mask. It’s small but adorable. My favorite part of this mask is that while it is considered a mask, it doesn’t cover the eyes or hinder your child’s vision at all. While it is pretty simple to make it will look like it took a long time to create. There are more details to this mask so the older kids may enjoy this one as well.
TRUNK-OR-TREAT
All of these costumes are great for playing dress-up, handing out candy, trick or treating or event. However, if you are planning on also hosting a trunk or treat event, we have some great underwater options for that as well.
Simplicity is often the key to success!
