Being a busy mom, you know how important it is to have snacks on hands when you are out and about with kids. How often have you caught yourself on forgetting to feed lunch to your kids? I am guilty of that especially on Saturdays when we run around trying to get some grown-up stuff done while providing some fun entertainment for the kids. Next thing I know it is 3 pm and I missed lunch – oops, I am so not perfect!
However, the nutrition is especially important when it comes to kids activities. If your child spends an hour or two engaging in physical activities, he is most likely coming out back to you HUNGRY! If you are lucky enough to have a child, who can wait until you get home – good for you (and I do not hate you at all). However, if you have been blessed with a hangry child, you are in a good company. The only logical solution is to bring snacks and be ready for whenever the hungry animal strikes.
Is there an ideal snack? What snack do you think would work for most children?
To find that out we went to our Goldfish swim school in Mundelein and asked swim students some tough questions. I am kidding, the question was only one and it was pretty easy –
WHAT SNACKS DO YOU USUALLY EAT AFTER SWIMMING?
I have to warn you, we are not here to judge nutritional choices of kids or their parents, we are to have fun and see which of the snacks wins this SNACK WAR (I bet you didn’t know of that?)
And once again, I can’t say enough of good words about The Mundelein Goldfish Swim School – the place that let me hang out outside of their building bothering their students with these questions. This place is absolutely amazing. We look forward to the classes here every week – not a single complaint ever! We know many instructors and staff members by name and they are always happy to see my three children running into the building and are greeting us with a smile. With a cold season right around the corner, this is one a few places that would welcome you with warm tropical water any day of the week. Seriously, stop by their location or see more locations here!
